Air Jordan 7 ‘Barely Grape’
While the 40th and 25th anniversaries of the Nike Air Force 1 and Air Max 97 dominated The Swoosh's signature celebration releases during 2022, Jordan Brand has developed their own plans for a few events in 2023, including the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan 7. The company is currently using the model most commonly associated with Jordan's second title for a youth-exclusive effort boasting a concealed array of purples. The silhouette has grown upon its in-line options with the likes of OG "Cardinal" colors and collaboration works with Trophy Room.
The upper resembles that of its impending "Chambray" offering in that it has crushed leather overlay and perforated panels. The tongue's mesh structure, laces, and rear pull tabs also continue the murky theme. The whole upper's panels receive a stitched "Rush Fuchsia" accent, deviating from the previous build's darker suede, curing additional logo branding applied to the tongue and heel. The pair of light and lively purples equip the midsole in a durable manner underfoot by adding a second titular accent along the sock liner and tongue trim for a raucous, tucked-away finish.
