Air Kukini in “Black Neon”
Nike has continued to draw inspiration from the past over the past year, and the Air Kukini's resurgence is just one example. The Swoosh recently brought the Kukini "Water" back to its Y2K roots, and the footwear behemoth has now shown the most recent version of the sneaker in "Black Neon."
The sleek black neoprene/nubuck upper of the low-top and slip-on sneaker is reinforced with neon-colored translucent TPU caging. The sneaker's entire upper is covered in a black color, while the midsole is sprinkled with "Neon Green," and more of the same green color can be seen in the springy air heel unit. A robust black rubber outsole wraps around the profile to complete the appearance.
