Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Royal Blue"

The Air Max 1 “Sport Red” has been a prominent feature of previous Air Max Day celebrations, making appearances three times over the past decade, including 2023. However, its counterpart, the “Sport Royal” color scheme, has not received the same level of attention. With its sibling release just last year, the introduction of these sneakers follows a logical progression. Unlike contemporary Air Max 1 releases, this iteration embraces a true retro aesthetic, aiming to faithfully replicate its 1986 design.

Notably, the midsole's "big bubble" is elongated, resulting in a notably taller overall profile for the shoe. This marks their first release since 2017, and in comparison to that model, the color palette also pays homage to vintage styles. While the "Anniversary Royal" Air Max 1 featured a more vivid blue and slightly darker grey, the current editions opt for a softer approach, aligning closely with the aesthetic of the original 1986 release.
