Nike Air Max 95 “Happy Pineapple”
Nike is preemptively setting up for vacation with Spring nearly here and the warmer weather with it. Nike will be expanding their Air Max 95 lineup with this latest playful “Happy Pineapple” colorway as they dress up many of their classics in tropical shades.
The upper part of the sneaker is anchored in cream-beige twill, felt-like overlays and toe caps, and traditional mesh over the eyelets. 3M reflective strips down the tongue and tail are replaced with a soft, tonal textile to match the tones of the surrounding laces and liners. Earthy hues are whipped in at the middle-line overlay and underfoot, the latter sporting a gritty cinder finish, while insoles sport an infrequent corked finish.
Completing the design is a classic crisp white midsole, and a final splash of tropical colors at the Air supports in Barely Volt, and at the eye stays in alternating muted pink and hyper jade. The forefoot numbering reading “94430” continues that more subtly, as it's a grocery store reference number for organic pineapples.
