Nike Air More Uptempo X Serena Williams Design Crew
Serena Williams and The Swoosh established the Serena Williams Designer Crew in 2019, a group of creatives, trailblazers, and visionaries entrusted with selecting Williams' annual design again for Beaverton brand. The 2022 collection, which is intended at fostering the next generations of Nike Inc. designers, has thus far included laser-etched Air Force 1s and textiles with floral prints, with the addition of a fabric Nike Air More Uptempo.
Some inside look dominates the whole upper, predominating in sharp contrast to a Scottie Pippen-endorsed silhouette's traditional encased leather structure, while loud neon green stitching marks the patched-together denim-treated parts. A ribbed nylon fabric envelops the latter basis and is brightened by crisp white colors that claim the tongue straps, rope laces, and nearby pull tabs. A covered dark blue sole unit adds extra purple Swooshes just at heel while broken clean white Checks terminate over the heel counters.
