January 26, 2019 has been a day many hardcore sneaker heads have been waiting for. That day, Jordan will be releasing the Air Jordan Retro 5 JSP Laney to pay tribute once again to Emsley A. Laney High School, where the legend first made a name for himself.
This is not the first Laney edition that Jordan has come up with. In 2013 they released the original Laney 5 followed by the Laney 1 Retro High OG. Both were extremely successful, so it was just a matter of time before they resurrected the Laney 5 to make an even better design for fans all over the world.
The original Laney 5 was a little more plain than this years comeback; mostly white with black, maize, and varsity royal blue detailing. The 2019 version completely turns the old color way on its head. Where there was once a blank white canvas, Royal Varsity and Maize fill the sneaker up. The colors alone are bright and impressive, they catch your eye from miles away. The clean classic design mixed with the bright and youthful color scheme make this sneaker highly requested amongst younger and older Jordan lovers. The sneaker will also release in all sizes and genders so everyone can get a piece of the action.
