From Shirt Kiosk to Opening Four Branches: Gurson Sidana’s Rise in the Sneaker Industry

Whether it’s comic books, seashells, or souvenirs like keychains from around the world, it is only human to be passionate about collecting things.

For some, like comic book collectors, they’ve been doing it since their childhood and continue to expand their collection. Other people only start collecting when they reach their teenage or even adult years. Over the past decade or two, more people have begun to collect shoes. Men, in particular, are attracted to sneakers. People like Gurson Sidana often aid them in their search for more collectibles.

Gurson Sidana, better known as G, developed a passion for sneakers from the industry he worked in. For G, he grew up entrenched in the family business, scurrying around the store since he was 5. He would later start pitching in during the weekends and school breaks. Since then, he has taken the reins for GB Sneakers, a footwear store that offers sneakers for men, women, and children of all shapes and sizes.

For years, GB Sneakers grew as a company under G’s management and the customer service that they have. The business had boomed, and they were able to open four stores all over New York with two stores in Jamaica, one branch in the Jamaica Colosseum Mall, and the other in Rochdale Shopping Center. Jackson Street in Hempstead would open Sneaker Terminal while a fourth branch would open close to the shores of Rockaway Beach. While most stores would close for the weekend, G understood those were the only days some people could find the time to go shopping, and so he made sure all their branches would be open for seven days a week.

Among the sneaker brands that GB’S advertises are Nike and Jordan. However, they also sell athletic shoe brands such as Puma, Fila, Reebok, Diadora, Converse, Vans, Timberland, and many more. While the brands advertised are sure to bring in customers, G made sure that the service they provided would be as equally excellent and hired several staff members that were knowledgeable and could answer every question the customers might ask.

The quality of GB Sneakers was reputable to the point that the curiosities of celebrities prompted them to visit the stores. Among the big names to have graced the stores include TV personality Kim Kardashian, rappers Meek Mill, Lil Uzi Vert, and Jadakiss. Snoop Dogg is also said to have visited one of the branches.

Through its innovative marketing strategies, GBNY Productions has established itself as a competitor that’s one to watch in the retail industry. And as of recently, it has signed on American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son, Justin Combs, as a business partner, solidifying its line-up of competent leaders.

G has also pushed GB Sneakers to go beyond just selling their products through their stores. He has already set up his products to be available for order either online, telephone or through their app which is available on iPhone and Android.

To know more about their sneakers, visit their website, or check their YouTube channel. They also have social media pages on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter.
