Launch day Women's Retro 4 "Hot Punch" & Men's Retro 6 "Flint"
Launch days are the best days at GBNY. This past weekend we had not one, but two show stopping Air Jordan’s drop; the women’s Air Jordan Retro 4 “Hot Punch", and the men’s Air Jordan Retro 6 “Flint”. It’s hard to decipher which one was the most popular of the two, as there was an insane amount of interest in all four stores and online the week leading up to their official launch.
To help kickoff the big Jordan release weekend, a few of our GBNY family members and ambassadors stopped by themselves to see what all the hype was for. Instagram sensation and music artist Jennaske popped in to see what the women’s 4s were all about and was not disappointed. After taking a few pictures and dancing in a pair, she made sure to get her own before heading out. Rappers China Mac and Skinny From The 9 also gave us their thoughts on the men’s 6s. It’s safe to say they were as hype as we were about the drop and reminded everyone who the best #feetpiece plugs really are. We love it whenever one of our brand ambassadors makes it into the store, and our shoppers do too.
Between the 4s and the 6s it’s clear to see why they were selling so fast. The Hot Punch color is the perfect sneaker to wear to make a statement. Especially with the slight splash of black and yellow that really pop. It’s a great look and color way that can be worn in the winter or in the middle of summer. The same can be said of the men’s 6s with their cool and icy sole and white and grey combo. The addition of infrared and purple in small doses around the sneaker are what help it to pop. Great for a stylish low-key guy or a Jordan head, the Flint 6 will fit all your needs.
